To avoid the disruption of Voice services during a power outage and to maintain the ability to connect to 911 emergency services a battery backup is required.
You may choose to purchase a battery backup solution from us. Our standard offering delivers 8 hours of standby power in an event of a power outage. CCT will order, install and maintain this battery backup for $100. A 24-hour battery backup solution is also available. If you prefer to purchase your own backup solution online or from a retail store, please call our office to get the specific specifications needed for this battery to work with our network equipment before buying.
Battery backup solutions will only deliver power to the equipment provided for Phone services. Cordless phones, medical monitoring devices, internet/broadband, home security systems and other equipment running off electrical power will not be covered.
